Holly Lodge

Located in the Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Holly Lodge is a specialist solo provision. The three bedroom home caters for children and young people aged between 11-17 years old with complex emotional difficulties that make it difficult for them to live with peers.

Young people receive 2:1 staffing, 24 hours a day, from very skilled and knowledgeable staff who are committed to improving the lives of children and young people.

The aim of this service is to provide nurturing care that helps them come to terms with previous life traumas and improve their social and emotional intelligence so that they can either go on to live with others or move on to independence once they come of age.

Holly Lodge offers care to both males and females aged 11 – 17 years old. As a solo home, it is open to accepting referrals for young people from a wide range of backgrounds and present with complex, challenging behaviours.

At Holly Lodge:

  • Specialist solo home for complex needs
  • 2:1 staffing ratio with 24 hour availability
  • Expert staff specialising in emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Access to bespoke psychological services

Meet the team

"Hi, I’m Thom, the Registered Manager of Holly Lodge.

I joined Footsteps to Futures in early 2019 and have periodically worked at Holly Lodge alongside its sister homes. After successfully supporting a sister home as Deputy Manager, I returned to Holly Lodge as Manager in 2021.

My experience of assisting management teams in developing the homes ethos as well as inducting and supporting new staff members is an aspect of the role I really enjoy. My aim is to run a home that meets the needs of all children that reside with us, but also promote their rights, independence, and differences. To ensure every day brings new experiences, laughter and the opportunity to learn and grow.

Previous to being a RM I worked with young adults in a semi secure setting as well as being a foster carer. These experiences gave me the knowledge, skills and understanding of the challenges that come hand in hand with supporting vulnerable children and the passion to make a positive difference in their lives."
